(Originally published on 13.09.2011) ME6000 and Neuro-option were used in PhD dissertation of Laura Säisänen: “Human Motor Cortex Function Characterized by Navigated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation”. In this study, the ME6000 was used to measure electromyography (EMG) and motor evoked potentials (MEP) in determination of the motor threshold. The motor threshold is a vital aspect in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) studies of the motor cortex, because it enables finding the optimal TMS stimulus intensity for each individual.
